Hickam AFB, Hawaii, C-17 Globemaster III Airmen and Sand Diego, Calif., based Navy Mobile Unit 1 Sailors and contractors unload dolphins assigned to the U.S. Navy Marine Mammals Program from a C-17 from March AFB, Calif., while at Hickam AFB, Hawaii, Nov. 7. A 15th Airlift Wing, 535th Airlift Squadron C-17 will take the Sailors and dolphins to Noumea, New Caledonia, where they will participate in Lagoon MINEX 2009, which is a humanitarian event where U.S. Navy, French, Australian and New Zealand demolition crews will remove mines left over from WW II from the surrounding water of the area.
