George Perez, commanding officer of Trident Training Facility, Kings Bay, speaks on the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) within the Navy during the 2015 Hispanic Engineering, Science and Technology Week's (HESTEC) Congressional Panel held on the campus of the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. HESTEC Week is an educational conference that features events geared towards promoting STEM education to people of all ages and backgrounds.
