Staff Sgt. Horace Salik, 7th Weather Squadron battlefield weather forecaster, relays weather data to build an accurate forecast during a training exercise Sept. 17, 2015, at Grafenwohr Training Area, Germany. The instructors of the 7th WS used a variety of tools including briefing and hands-on lessons to develop 30 battlefield weather airmen during the annual Cadre Focus training exercise. The 7th WS revamped Cadre Focus to concentrate on basic field training skills and forecasting in Eastern Europe. The squadron is the only one embedded alongside Army units providing weather intelligence throughout the European and African areas of operation. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Armando A.
