PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii (Sept. 29, 2015) Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii Commanding Officer Capt. Dean Tufts presents a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Gold Star in Lieu of Third Award) to Builder Second Class (Seabee Combat Warfare) Jason R. DeGuzman Sept. 29 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The award is for “professional achievement while serving as Training Petty Officer and Crewleader for NAVFAC Hawaii and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) from November 2012 to September 2015. DeGuzman’s proactive vision maximized division readiness through implementation of a comprehensive training program and integration of military personnel with the NAVFAC Hawaii Maintenance Shops, creating an enduring training platform and increasing NAVFAC’s capacity and responsiveness.
