Veronica Barbarin, who works at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lakeview, La., keeps an accurate count of the number of donated shoes placed in boxes for shipping to East Africa. The shoes, donations collected as part of an outreach program called The Supply Project, will eventually find their way to the feet of Ethiopian orphans. St. Paul's is assisting a former St. Paul's rector, Navy Chaplain Will Hood, in his efforts to make lives easier for orphans in Addis Ababa. Hood is currently assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
