Anthropologist, Josh Peck, uses a total station to verify grid coordinates during a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency mission. Peck was assigned as the on-site recovery leader on a 13-member specialized recovery team that spent more than 45 days searching for the remains of service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice during World War II. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts in order to support the Department of Defense's personnel accounting efforts.
