Sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Denver (LPD 9) remove a cargo pendant from fresh supplies during a vertical replenishment with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Alan Shepard (T-AKE 3). Denver is the lead ship of the Denver Amphibious Task Group conducting a fall patrol in the western Pacific Ocean.
