Marines with the Special Reaction Team search a building during a mock active shooter scenario Sept. 23 as part of Exercise Constant Vigilance 2015 aboard Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan. The Special Reaction Team arrived on the scene to secure the building and ensure no other threats were present before detaining the shooter and retrieving the hostage. Constant Vigilance is an annual training exercise that ensures Marine Corp Installations on Okinawa are trained and ready to deal with a wide variety of scenarios to include emergency, medical, security and terrorist response. The SRT Marines are with the Provost Marshal’s Office, Headquarters and Support Battalion, MCIPAC-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan.
