Paratroopers assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, conduct a combined arms live fire exercise near White Sands Missile Range, N.M., Oct. 1, 2015. The 2nd Bn. 325th AIR paratroopers completed several blank and live-fire iterations during the day and at night supported by M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles and M1 Abrams tanks from the 1st Armor Division's 4th Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment. As the nucleus of the Global Response Force, the 82nd Abn. Div. provides a strategic hedge for combatant commanders with a responsive, agile and operationally significant force that is flexible in size and composition to accomplish missions anywhere in the world.
