Jay Chung, an automotive instructor at the Auto Skills Center, goes through several safety tests using a checklist on an electronic tablet in building 1698 near the base marina, Sept. 28, 2015. Each Hawaii vehicle safety inspection station is issued a tablet to photograph and record any concerns during an inspection as well as send the results directly to the Hawaii Department of Transportation. Chung is a Kaneohe resident. All vehicles aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii are required to have valid safety inspections. The Auto Skills Center staff supports the mission to provide facilities and services to ensure the safety of units, individuals and families aboard MCB Hawaii.
