An automotive instructor at the Auto Skills Center goes through several safety tests using a checklist loaded on an electronic tablet at the temporary offices for Auto Skills Center staff in building 1698 near the base marina, Sept. 28, 2015. Although the center is undergoing renovations, staff is still available to do safety checks on cars and trailers as well as minor auto repairs. All vehicles aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii are required to have valid safety inspections. The Auto Skills Center staff supports the mission to provide facilities and services to ensure the safety of units, individuals and families aboard MCB Hawaii.
