USS Nimitz continues operations in the Gulf of Oman [Image 22 of 23]

Two MH-60S Knighthawk helicopters, assigned to the "Wildcards" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23, transfer supplies to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz as the guided-missile cruiser USS Sampson cruses into position for a replenishment at sea with the fast combat support ship USNS Bridge. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is on a routine deployment to the region. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
