150926-N-ZF498-499 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 26, 2015) – Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Derrick Rittenhouse, from Indianapolis, directs an MV-22B Osprey from the Greyhawks of Marine Medium-lift Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced) to launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
