Gen. Maj. Oleg Garchy (left), Head of combat and special training of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine, awards a Ukrainian Independence Medal 3rd class to 1st Lt. Shawn Henry, a logistics officer with the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, for excellent service during training as part of Fearless Guardian Sept. 26, 2015, in Yavoriv, Ukraine. Several paratroopers and soldiers with the Ukrainian national guard received the awards during Garchy's visit. The paratroopers are in Ukraine for the third rotation to train Ukraine's newly-formed national guard as part of Fearless Guardian, which is scheduled to last through November.
