Pallbearers, all company grade officers with U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, escort the remains of 1st Lt. Alexander "Sandy" Bonnyman, Jr., during a dignified transfer ceremony, Sept. 24, 2015, at Borthwick Mortuary in Honolulu. Bonnyman is being escorted home from Honolulu to Knoxville, Tenn., where he will be buried with full military honors nearly 72 years after he fell in combat in the Battle of Tarawa during World War II.
