Pulitzer prize winning cartoonist and creator of Doonesbury Garry Trudeau sits in the V.I.P. lounge of the Q-West PAX Terminal holding the Oct. 17, issue of Stars and Stripes that featured a headline photo of Trudeau drawing for a wounded warrior. Trudeau was among five popular cartoonists and caricaturists on a tour sponsored by the USO and the National Cartoonists Society who entertained troops at the main dining facility, Oct. 20. Along with Trudeau, Chip Bok, Jeff Keane, Stephan Pastis and Tom Richmond spent from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. talking with and drawing for long lines of service members.
