Congressional Gold Medals are awarded posthumously to the families of Montford Point Marines during the Montford Point Marine Association Chapter 32 formal gala at The Clubs of Quantico, Va., Sept. 12. The nonprofit veteran’s service organization preserves and protects the legacy of the Montford Point Marines. The nonprofit veteran’s organization hosts events to create camaraderie, goodwill and spirit de corps, both locally and nationally.
