Roy Loucks, 34, of Honolulu, assigned to the 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion is flanked by tribal leaders and local villagers during his visit to the village of Turbaka, near the Sinjar mountains in northern Iraq, Oct. 29. U.S. Soldiers assigned to Foxtrot Company, 425th Infantry Airborne Long Range Surveillance National Guard Unit, out of Selfridge, Mich., visited the village during a water well project assessment of several villages in the area.
