U.S. Army Sgt. Thomas Loyd, 26 of Dansville, Mich., assigned to Foxtrot Company, 425th Infantry Airborne Long Range Surveillance National Guard Unit, out of Selfridge, Mich., finds a new friend in the town of Sununi, near the Sinjar mountains in northern Iraq, Oct. 29. Loyd was standing outside the Sununi mayor's office while a meeting was taking place when the small child attached himself to Loyd and would not let go.
