GREAT LAKES, Ill., (August 13, 2015) – Seaman Recruit Donald Shrupp, 18, from Prattville, Ala., uses an electronic tablet (e-tablet) during a study period in his barracks, USS Hopper, at Recruit Training Command (RTC) here, Aug. 19. Part of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy’s (MCPON) eSailor initiative, Naval Service Training Command launched the second cycle of the pre-pilot with recruit Division 947. The second cycle of testing will help determine how well the device integrates into the training environment at RTC.
