1st Lt. Matthew Harrison, an infantry officer assigned to the 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, offers one of his division patches to Caz Smeeman near Nijmegen, the Netherlands, Sept. 17. The Dutch child and the American paratrooper attended the sunset march to honor the 48 men who died in combat during the Waal River crossing during Operation Market Garden in 1944.
