Sgt. Ralph Felix, an infantryman assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, conducted a weapons function check before finishing the ruck march portion of the Expert Infantryman Badge competition held at Rose Barracks, Germany, Sept. 21, 2015. The EIB was originally developed as an award to honor the U.S. Army Infantryman and represents their tough, hard hitting role in combat while also symbolizing a Soldier's proficiency in the Infantry arts.
