A U.S. interpreter reads personal information from a man's ID card to U.S. Army Cpl. Zachary Acy, from Brandon, Miss., assigned to the 114th Military Police Company, 112th Military Police Battalion, 184th Transportation Brigade, Mississippi National Guard, so he can put the information into his Handheld Inner Agency Identity Detection Equipment along with information from other men applying for positions on the Emergency Iraqi Police Force, at West Emergency Police Headquarters in Mosul, Iraq, Oct. 27. Within the next month the Iraqi Emergency Police plans on hiring more than 8,000 people.
