    U.S. Army Capt. Michelle Sukardi Kania and Indonesia Air Force Maj. Zulhamidi Lubis discuss the similarities and differences between the Tentara Nasional Indonesia and U.S. Military forces during Exercise Gema Bhakti in Jakarta, Indonesia, Sept. 16, 2015. Gema Bhakti, Indonesian for 'Echo of Good Deeds,' is a joint, bilateral ten-day exercise designed to promote positive military relations, increase cultural awareness and enhance training and understanding of each other's capabilities. Kania, a native of Jakarta, Indonesia, and is visiting her childhood country for the first time as a U.S. Soldier while serving as a linguistics and translation specialist. She is a resident of Los Angeles, California, and currently serves as the company commander for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 196th Infantry Brigade, U.S. Army Pacific Command.
