Pfc. Francis X. Santore III, honor graduate of platoon 1073, stands with his family, Col. Jeffrey W. Fultz and Sgt. Maj. Angela M. Maness after recruit graduation Sept. 18, 2015, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive ten days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C. The Marine will be trained in basic infantry skills to ensure Marines are combat-ready. Santore, a native of Fort Mill, S.C., was recruited by Sgt. Eric L. Rogers from Recruiting Station Columbia.
