Sailors and Marines onboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp take part in a guided discussion Oct. 24. Gunnery Sgt. Rodney Vest leads the junior enlisted personnel through a scenario which tests their decision-making ability. Vest ensures that each Sailor and Marine understands the consequences of each decision that can be made in stressful situations. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and a Security Cooperation Marine Air Ground Task Force embarked. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
