Maj. Tim Horn, US Army Central Command 4th Battlefield Coordination Detachment, crosses the finish line as the first male to complete 13.1 miles at the 2015 Air Force Marathon Forward, Sept. 13, 2015 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This will mark seven years that the race has taken place at seven operating bases in theater. The first Air Force Marathon was held in 1997 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Since then, each marathon has been held the third Saturday of September, with an aircraft chosen each year to represent Air Force history in flight. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Staff Sgt.
