Cpl. Nicholas B. Shueygonzalez explains the functions of a tactical vehicle Sept. 5 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan during the Hansen Fest. The annual festival serves as a way to improve the already strong relationship between Camp Hansen and the local community. More than 13,000 people poured in through the Camp Hansen gate during the two-day event. The static displays provided Okinawa residents and families the opportunity to see Marine Corps vehicles and equipment and interact with Marines. Shueygonzalez, a motor vehicle operator with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, is a San Jose, California, native.
