    Oregon Army National Guard Sgt. Arom Schultz, a military police Soldier with the 1186 Military Police Company, refills his water while training in 111-degree heat in the Mojave Desert at the National Training Center (NTC), Fort Irwin, Calif., Aug. 23. Schultz, along with 5,200 other National Guard, Reserve and active duty Army Soldiers with units from 10 states, supported the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team, headquartered in Boise, Idaho, with the first force-on-force training the National Guard has participated in since the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom.
