A U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard presents colors during a wreath-laying ceremony for U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Michael A. Marzano, who was killed in action in Haditha Iraq, May 7, 2005, at Bolin Memorial Park in Phoenix, Sept. 10, 2015. Each portion of the memorial wreath that is presented has significance and is a time honored tradition that can be traced back to similar practices of Ancient Greece. More than 800 Marines are participating in Marine Week Phoenix to give the citizens of the greater Phoenix area the opportunity to meet the individual Marines and celebrate community, country and Corps.
