Ford (CVN 78), based in Newport News, Va., Sailor temporarily assigned to USS George Washington (CVN 73), debriefs Deck department line handlers as the ship departs San Diego harbor. Cobbs and other Ford Sailors volunteered to deploy as a means of obtaining critical operational skills and qualifications needed to commission Ford.
