                            AMES, Iowa, (Sept. 2, 2015) -- Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Ray Mabus (left of color guard) meets with the Iowa State University Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) unit, The Cyclone Battalion, here, Sept. 2. Mabus was at ISU for a ship-naming ceremony of the Navy’s newest Virginia-class attack submarine, the future USS Iowa (SSN 797). Mabus thanked the people of Iowa for their support and contributions to the Navy and discussed the special bond that exists between a state and its namesake vessel.
