Washington Army National Guard soldier Spc. Aaron G. Goodwin from 1st Battalion, 161st Infantry Regiment, headquartered in Spokane, Wash., along with his Canadian counterparts, provide overwatch security as part of a company-level group attack Aug. 22 during Exercise Grizzly Defender. The exercise is a joint training mission with the Canadian Army Reserve at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta, Canada, which ran from Aug. 15-23, 2015, with a focus on offensive tasks including patrols, convoys, raids, information operations, traffic control points, and company-level group attacks.
