Washington Army National Guard First Lt. Ryan T. Derrick and Spc. Robert G. Kenyon use their map to determine their best route for a tactical movement as part of a company-level group attack during Exercise Grizzly Defender. The exercise is a joint training mission with the Canadian Army Reserve at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta, Canada, which ran from Aug. 15-23, 2015, with a focus on offensive tasks including patrols, convoys, raids, information operations, traffic control points, and company-level group attacks.
