KUWAIT (Aug. 23, 2015) U.S. Marines with Lima Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to launch an RQ-11 Raven during a training exercise. The Raven is a small, hand-launched, remote-controlled, unmanned aerial vehicle that has day and night aerial intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance capabilities. Elements of the 15th MEU are ashore in Kuwait for sustainment training to maintain and enhance the skills they developed during their pre-deployment training period. The 15th MEU is embarked with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
