NOTIFICATION: Beginning Oct. 1, the Kadena Base Post Office will be switching over to an email notification system for package arrival rather than the slip system. Second and final notices will still be printed out. Customers may pick up packages so long as they have some form of identification that denotes SOFA status. During the Christmas season, pick up packages as soon as the email is received because package space will be limited. Beginning Oct. 1, any outgoing packages will have to be processed online using the Click-n-Ship system. This system will save 15 percent on processing costs and includes information about the package and the customs form. Payment for the delivery will be handled using this system. Anyone interested in volunteering during the holiday season should call DSN: 634-2329. If a customer’s mailbox becomes full, the mail will be held in a package until it is picked up.
