Command Sgt. Maj. Jason Biermann, senior enlisted member of the Tacoma-based 654th Regional Support Group and Mount Vernon native, was the guest speaker at the 2015 Washington State Amphibious Forces Association Conference in Leavenworth Sept. 2.
The Snohomish County-based Veteran Service Organization comprises nearly 200 Washington veterans from WW II, Korean, and Vietnam conflicts who served on Army or Navy watercraft.
During his remarks, Biermann discussed how Army Reserve Soldiers in his unit train and prepare for their missions.
The 654th RSG is a subordinate unit to the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, a Marysville-based Army Reserve unit that which provides mission command for more than 30 Army Reserve logistical units in Washington, Utah, Idaho and Montana.
