U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Andrew Sterns, a 354th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, reviews an inspection log, Aug. 19, 2015, prior to the launch of a Red Flag-Alaska (RF-A) 15-3 sortie from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. Airmen with the 354th Maintenance Group ensure the Aggressors can maximize training for participants of RF-A, a Pacific Air Forces commander-directed field training exercise for U.S. and partner nation forces, providing combined offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
