Lance Cpl. Jeffrey J. Guevara, a rifleman with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, becomes accustomed to using an underwater breathing apparatus during the Shallow Water Egress Training held at the pool aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Aug. 26, 2015. The purpose of this training is to familiarize Marines with the steps and procedures of evacuating a downed aircraft in the water. SWET training helps support the mission of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, which is to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
