Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Stephen Thompson was awarded the Bronze Star at the Coast Guard Sector Baltimore All-Hands meeting in Baltimore, Aug. 28, 2015. Thompson received the Bronze Star for his wartime service in Bahrain as the commander of the USCG Redeployment Assistance and Inspection Detachment team in Afghanistan and Kuwait from June 14, 2014, to May 31, 2015.
