ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 28, 2015) A U.S. Marine Sgt. Maj. Douglas Schaefer, right, congratulates the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s “Marine of the Week” awardee Cpl. Stephen Chiasson aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Schaefer is the sergeant major of the 15th MEU and Chiasson is an intelligence analyst with the 15th MEU. Chiasson is selflessly willing to assist his fellow analysts in improving their analytic skills even if it means having come to work early, or to stay well after his shift ends. He is responsible for creating accurate, relevant and timely intelligence products that cover a wide variety of dynamic, real-world issues and he completes this task at a level well above his pay grade and experience.
