Rear Adm. P. Gardner Howe III, president, U.S. Naval War College (NWC), provides closing remarks during NWC's 12th Regional Alumni Symposium-Africa, held at NWC in Newport, R.I. The event, co-hosted by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and U.S. 6th Fleet and sponsored by U.S. Africa Command, served as an opportunity to strengthen global maritime partnerships and address strategic, operational and technical issues of relevance to the Africa region.
