Soldiers with the 3-112th Field Artillery, New Jersey Army National Guard, watch as 2nd Lt. Jennifer Wain fires the all-digital M119A3 105 mm lightweight howitzer during a live fire exercise at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Aug. 26, 2015. Wain, a fire direction officer with the 3-112th, is the first female combat arms officer in the history of the New Jersey Army National Guard. The upgraded M119A3 is equipped with a digital fire control system that includes an inertial navigation unit, guided-precision system technology and other features that will give the weapon the ability to determine its precise geographical location on its own.
