A participant in the M4 rifle qualification course fires his M4 at the 99th Security Forces Squadron Combat Arms Training and Maintenance firing range on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Aug. 18, 2015. Airmen switched between using iron sights and red dot sights to qualify for the M4 as they prepare to deploy, make a permanent change of station move, or satisfy yearly training requirements.
