Members of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band perform “There is Nothing Like a Dame” from the musical “South Pacific” during a concert in their Summer Concert Series at Mololani Community Park, Aug. 21, 2015. Next week marks the anniversary of Japan’s officially signing the instrument of surrender Sept. 2, 1945, aboard the USS Missouri. Recreational events such as MARFORPAC Band concerts help boost morale aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, furthering the mission, which is to provide better service for the units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
