Diana Matibe and Ashley Lowry, Air Force Junior ROTC cadets from Warner Robins High School, thank World War II veterans for their service during a reception at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Ga., Aug. 21. Pfc. Barrett received a Purple Heart and Silver Star after being wounded in action and taken prisoner of war during World War II. The reception in honor of veterans who served aboard B-17s was held in celebration of the arrival of the B-17 Flying Fortress to the museum. The engines, wings and tail section of the aircraft which arrived a day earlier were on display during the reception. Several B-17 crew members offered their reflections of the aircraft during the event attended by around 200 people. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tommie Horton)
