ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 22, 2015) Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Rocky DeSanctis signals to pilots of an MV-22 Osprey from the 'Greyhawks' of Marine Medium-lift Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 (Reinforced) on the flight deck of Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Rushmore, part of the Essex Amphibious Rushmore is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
