Capt. Jeremy Stephens, a C-130 Hercules co-pilot from the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, prepares to takeoff for a mission Oct. 18. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas. Stephens is deployed from the Kulis Air National Guard Base, Alaska, and hails from Eagle River Alaska.
