Dawn Blitz 2015 is a multinational amphibious training exercise, held in Southern California, designed to train Expeditionary Strike Group Three (ESG 3), 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade (1st MEB), Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF), Mexican Armed Forces (MAF), and New Zealand Armed Forces (NZAF) in sea-basing, amphibious landing and command and control. Dawn Blitz provides a robust training environment where forces plan and execute an amphibious landing from a sea base in a low threat environment to improve naval amphibious force core competencies.
