Spencer, a North Carolina National Guard Soldier who lives in Wilmington, N.C., deployed to Kosovo this past June with the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team headquarters. MNBG-East Soldiers have participated in the pilgrimage for the past decade, which honors the Catholic Feast of the Assumption of Mary.
